Goalkeeper Richard Kingson wants his Ghanaian teammate at Balikesirspor Kwame Amponsah Karikari to be given a chance with the Black Stars.

The 22-year-old is currently the third top scorer in the Turkish second tier with 11 goals in 22 games.

Karikari’s is said to be one of the young players knocking on the doors of the Black Stars with a few months to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

And goalkeeper Kingson who observes the impressive performances of the ex Inter Allies striker on a regular basis wants an international opportunity for the young lad.

“He is doing very well as he amongst the top goalscorers in the league,” Kingson told Accra-based Montie FM.

“Not only his scoring ability but then his total contribution to the team is very impressive.

“Day in and day out he improves and I believe once he is a Ghanaian he should be given the chance.

“He is definitely a Black Stars material. If Ghanaians want to see him perform then they should give him a chance.”

Karikari is currently on loan at Balikesirspor from Swedish club AIK.
