Kwadwo Asamoah scores in Juventus comeback win at Genoa

Posted On Sunday, 16th September 2012

Kwadwo Asamoah scored Juventus' third in 3-1 win over Genoa

Kwadwo Asamoah came off the bench to score his first Serie A goal in a Juventus shirt in their 3-1 win at Genoa on Sunday.

The talented midfielder replaced De Ceglie and he turned out to be a game changer.

Asamoah won the penalty from 19-year-old Sampirisi and Mirko Vucinic converted it past Frey despite the goalkeeper guessing the right angle to put the score at 2-1.

The former Udinese player got a goal for himself in the 84th minute.

Vucinic’s cross from the by-line took a deflection along the way and the Ghanaian was ready to tap in at the back post.

Asamoah scored his first goal for the Bianconeri in their Super Cup win over Napoli in Beijing last month.

Genoa took the lead through Ciro Immobile in the 18th minute.

The youngster didn’t get a clean touch, but it proved enough to slide the finish through a sea of legs to beat Buffon at the near post.

But Giaccherini levelled in the 66th minute with a fierce strike from the edge of the box.

  2. Marcus Ayew says:

Wow Kwadwo is really making his mark with Juve! keep up the good work.

  3. Ghanas Son says:

What is insanity? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.
We keep using Kwadwo Asamoah in a position were he under-performs in the Black Stars and we keep repeating it, each and every game. This is his second goal since he joined Juve… I wonder if he has scored more than one goal for Ghana.
    Kwasi Appiah, shine your eyes.

  4. Nii Kwatei says:

And he won a penalty for Juve, which counts as an assist.

Which Ghana match did you watch that Kwadwo Asamoah scored a goal? Some of you guys better stop making up stories you have no knowledge of. It took the Ghanaian soccer craze fans to put lots of pressure on the GFA/Milo b’4 Kwadwo Asamoah was first invited. Even that, Milo benched him and only came on for about 10 munites against Benin in a W/C qualifier at the Baba Yara stadium. Let Appiah be his own man and take his descisions. After all he’s the coach in charge. When any of your parents takes over, you guys can go ahead and dictate the pace.

  7. kitt says:

Infact… Cofie, Gh. son n San ko fa.. u guys hv made my evening…. why cant they study Milo’s usage of Asamoah? Asamoah was Ghanas bst perfomer under Milo bt why nw………. I Still thinks Milo is de bst coach Ghana got if nt greedyness… keep it up Asamoah….

  8. shaun says:

EXACTLY!!!. K Appiah was assistant to Milo, I don’t understand why he can’t use him the way his boss did knowing all that goes into K Asamoah’s play. His explosiveness at Afcon 2010 and the WC qualifiers was evident of his potential when used rightly.

  9. Costinho says:

He scored against mali in the world cup qualifier at bamako

  10. Captain says:

kwadwo asamoah is a gud player so if he is not scoring does’nt means he not gud al e coach is not gud aswel. let alow kwasi appiah to do his job nd stop dis dictating atitude. al e coach want 4m as is our prayers nd support. god bless gh. captain 4u.
