Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has been left out Juventus travelling party to Sweden for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Malmo FF.

The Ghanaia international could not pass a late fitness test and has since been ruled out of the game.

Asamoah is battling a knee injury he suffered during a Champions League clash against Olympiacos two weeks ago.

Juventus medical staff are cautious about rushing him to avoid aggravation and left him out of the team ahead of the showdown against the newly-installed Swedish champions.

Asamoah missed Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda and Togo and most likely to miss out on the tournament if he goes under the knife.

Juventus squad to face Malmo: 1 Buffon, 2 Romulo, 3 Chiellini, 5 Ogbonna, 6 Pogba, 7 Pepe, 8 Marchisio, 9 Morata, 10 Tevez, 11 Coman, 12 Giovinco, 14 Llorente, 19 Bonucci, 20 Padoin, 21 Pirlo, 23 Vidal, 26 Lichtsteiner, 30 Storari, 33 Evra, 34 Rubinho, 37 Pereyra, 38 Mattiello
