Kwadwo Asamoah battling Kalilou Traore for the ball in midfield
Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah expects the Black Stars to come good at the next Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in two years time.
The Juventus ace believes Ghana did well by finishing fourth at the 2013 finals in South Africa-although many fans expected the trophy.
Asamoah scored a screamer as the Black Stars were beaten 3-1 by Mali on Saturday in the third-place playoff.
Despite finishing the tournament without a medal, the 25-year-old is happy his teammates were among the best four teams.
“I congratulate my colleagues for their performance at the tournament. We did our best to reach this position,” Asamoah said.
“It was not easy getting this far. With the spirit in the team, we will get better if we continue.”
Swt left foot and consistent performance at Juve, off and on performances in Ghana’s Shirt,y kodjo, hmmm cnt explain mayb he alws being playd out of his usual position, better luck nextime buddy.
Kwadwo has to score more. If he does not score more, then the team is in trouble. The long range shot he made was impressive. He needs to do more of that in order for us to be competitive.
At least, one goal in 3 games will be sufficient.
The boys are trying, if we do not get a decent coach to complement their actions, frustration will kill them. watch this space… we already saw it in john boye and agyemang badu
it is not about the fact we lost but rather HOW WE LOST? Our gameplay, witch-hunting and favoritism smacks of doom. one month 2 weeks is enough for a competent coach to put up a team to defeat sudan. What an elderly person sees when he is sitting down, a child will not see even if he climbs on top a mountain. problem is the coach, Currently any half decent team will thrash Ghana on a good day. We have the players, WE NEED A COACH.
They should stop telling us they did well.It irritating when the say that.
Life goes on guys!some people were Insulting me cause I said they should train in the rain.
My brother asamoah, you better feel sorry for yourself than telling us you are happy with the performance of the team. You guys are only motivated by the bonuses and not to make Ghana proud. Look at Seidu Keita of Mali using his own money to help pay his fellow low earning players? How many of you in the team have put the nation first before you packet despite the money you earn in club level? You guys are very poor and i don’t see Ghana winning anything with you in the near future. Forget about the world cup cos Camaroun, and senegal have done it before we did it. Now in the next Nation’s cup senegal, camaroun, and Egept will be there so prepare for more disgrace of this school boys soccer you are going to be playing. Always talking too much and achieve nothing on the field stupid fools.
I said it from the first day Gyan was given the captaincy band that it was a mistake. In the first place gyan shouldn’t be in the team and i am even pissed for GFA chasing player who retire because he doesn’t want us to speak out for his penalty misses. AA is not a smart coach cos a captaincy band is given to inspirational and never say die person like Dede not Gyan. GFA it is time to wake up for your patiality in the Black stars selection. Now football have changed so much in Africa that only pacer players can make a difference not players you have been inviting playing the ball backwards. I think it is time to start calling players on merit not judge their personality. For example, why are you not inviting a pacy player like Owusu Abieye? Ex captain Stephen Appiah was right to say Gyan should have taken part in the panelty shootout cos he is the captain and he has to show a leadership. I don’t even want to waste my time talking about this useless team we have before i kill myself with heat attack.
