Kwadwo Asamoah has hailed Carlos Tevez after he broke his Champions League drought with a brace for Juventus in their 2-0 win over Malmo FF.

The Bianconeri were sluggish and struggled to create any meaningful chances in the first half, despite having the lions’ share of possession.

After the break though, Tevez broke the deadlock just before the hour after he latched onto a beautiful Kwadwo Asamoah back heel, following a one-two between the pair.

The Argentine then put the icing on the cake with a spectacular free kick in time added on.

Asamoah was happy for Tevez, who scored his first goal in the Europe’s elite competition since 2009.

“I am happy but especially for Carlitos, he needed to get back to score in the Champions League,” Asamoah said

“Allegri asked me to play behind and that’s how come I provided the assist for Tevez.”
