Kwadwo Asamoah grateful to Juventus team-mates and ex-coach for Serie A award

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has expressed his gratitude to everybody at Juventus after he was named in the 2013/2014 Serie A Team of the Year.

The Ghana international was adjudged the best left-back in the league after making 34 appearances and scoring two goals in the process.

Players as well as coaches and journalists voted for the Serie A Team of the Year with the Ghanaian emerging as one of the best players in the tough league.

Asamoah who is nursing a knee injury, picked up the his award in clutches and said: "I'm fine, I want to thank all of my team-mates, especially the coach.

"I was a midfield player, he made me leave this role and I have done everything well. The president and all the staff gave me everything."

The 26-year-old underwent surgery on his right knee and that has sidelined him for up to three months.
