Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has hailed the return of coach Antonio Conte to the Juventus bench as they beat Palermo 1-0 on Sunday.

Conte supervised his first match back on the bench after serving a four-month ban for failing to report match-fixing when he coached Siena two seasons ago.

Stephan Lichtsteiner scored five minutes into the second half for defending champions, which also hit the goal-frame twice through Mirko Vucinic.

Asamoah, who turned 24 on Sunday was instrumental in the victory for the old ladies but he was particulary thrilled with the return of his manager.

“"We are pleased that our coach is back on the bench. Today is a very difficult game we have to win, so we are happy at the end." Asamoah said

Juventus are now four points clear of Inter Milan.
