Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah is confident Juventus can overcome their Champions League voodoo and go far this term.

The Old Lady failed to progress from the Group stage last season but dropped into the Europa League where they reached the semi-final stage.

"It has been difficult for us in Europe and we will want to make this season a memorable one, we have won many trophies in Italy but not in Europe. So our target in this year’s Champions League is to go past what we have achieved since I joined the team [in 2012]," Asamoah told Football411.

"The team did very well by retaining some of our best players, and again they signed equally good players as well. We feel stronger this season than last season. We have started well in the Italian league and we want to do the same in Europe this time around."

Juventus begin their campaign on Tuesday night against Malmo FF before playing Atletico Madrid and Olympiakos.
