Kotoko's supporters wing; NCC to be dissolved

Asante Kotoko chairman Dr. Sarpong will be seeking the board’s mandate to dissolve the club’s supporters wing; the National Circles Council (NCC).

The intention is bourne out of management’s disappointment of the NCC’s inability to support the club after it was hit with Fifa fines totaling in excess of 130,000 Euros.

The NCC could only manage returns under 20,000 Ghana cedis after it was allocated 487000 worth of tickets connected to the massive fund raising project the club has since embarked on.

This means the combined contribution made by three individuals; the Executive Chairman’s nephew who donated 10,000, Osei Kwame Despite – 6000 and Kwabena Kesse – 6000 Ghana cedis respectively overshadows the total contribution of the Circles.

It is at the back of these figures and other factors that the Executive Chairman has decided to dissolve and restructure the supporters front.

“I have been very disappointed with the contribution made by Circles during this difficult period hence my decision to get it dissolved,” Dr. Sarpong told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“After its (NCC) dissolution, we will be looking at restructuring the whole supporters front to make it more effective in its operations.”

GHANAsoccernet.com understands that Dr. Sarpong is already getting support from the other board members necessary for passing the resolution at its next meeting.

Dissolve all KK,I support you 1million percent.

  2. Ejara says:

Its good to restucture the NCC but hei, becareful KK Sarpong?Where did you learn this from?Board/Management having such powers to shut the supporters front? And even dissolve their groups?
Who watches the watchman? Leave the supporters to do things their way.The fact that no one raised a question when you interfered in the Circles/Warriors matter does not mean you can always have your way.Eyes are watching

  3. KK must know dat no supporters circles no kotoko so he must becareful

  4. Casio says:

Dissolve it! I support you 100000% What is the use of supporters union if u cant “support” the club? Or you think its about sitting on Fox Fm or where ever and talking all the talking about the next match or the last match? Doc I support you, you’re a modern manager! DISSOLVE IT! THEY RATHER CONSUME THAT PROVIDE.

  5. jon says:

hmmmmmmmmmmm,,,big mistake by dr kk,,,,never rush oooo,,,,

  6. Fresher says:

The dissolution of this impotent organ is looooong overdue, this proposed dissolution of the NCC in many people’s opinion should have been decided some years before now. Some few individuals are just using the NCC as a tool for settling personal scores and personal issues. BOSS fr cincaase EJARA and JON, kotoko is not H of Oaks where non performance and indiscipline is being tolerated and encouraged beyond a reasonable point as to even shielding human cannibals from the course of justice in an unabashed manner. Kotoko’s board is powerful enough to dissolve the NCC, and the NCC executives would willingly accede to the B.O.D’s directive and dissolve silently, cos Kotoko’s interest and progress is superior above anybody’s.

  7. Kwadwo Addai says:

Dr u’re ryt. Coz the NCC Chmn is totally useless, there is no proper constitution and co-ordination.
