Kotoko take on Wassaman United in an Elite Cup match on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors have arrived in Dompim to battle the Ghanaian second-tier in the newly-created competiton.
The Ghananaian champions will host the return encounter at the Baba Yara stadium on Aprl 22 to determine which side joins the other 15 qualified teams.
The 16 clubs the Ghana Football Association (GFA) website reports “will be drawn into four groups of four teams each.
The clubs in each group will then play against each other on home and away basis. Three points shall be awarded for a win and one point for a drawn game.
