Kotoko are ready to break bank to bring their former midfielder Jordan Opoku back to Kumasi.

The Porcupine Warriors are prepared to splash $45,000 for the services of the player who impressed heavily for Berekum Chelsea.

The Blues are believed to have relaxed their stance on the potential move of the player after Kotoko officially expressed interest in re-signing him.

The Ghanaian League champions have made their intention official by slapping in an official request for his services.

Opoku, who enjoyed a successful two-year stint with Kotoko between 2009-2011, has openly claimed officials of the club wanted him back in Kumasi.

He is believed to be interested in a re-union with his boyhood club and will not tinker with the idea of re-joining the club if Chelsea approves the deal.

The 25-year-old joined the Berekum-based side as a free agent from Albanian side Dinamo Tirana.
