Kofi Nti Boakye is on fire

Asante Kotoko striker Kofi Nti Boakye is eyeing the goal king award in the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.

The 25-year-old increased his goal tally in the off-season to eight after he netted a brace in Kotoko’s 2-0 win over city rivals King Faisal over the weekend.

The former Heart of Lions and Liberty Professionals man is determined to end the season with the Ghanaian top flight title and an individual award as top scorer.

“The priority of every striker is to win the goal king award. My aim is to win the award at the end of the season,” Boakye told Kumasi-based Fox FM

“We are taken it match after match. We are determined to win every single game in the upcoming season.

“I will just urge the fans to pray and support us and I believe we will win the games for them.

“There is no secret apart from hard work, prayers and unity in the team.”

I have been telling few friends that the team should be built around you this time, you leading the attack at all times will give us the title again and us for your goal king ambition i think you will break the all time record and set new one for your self.you simply the best striker around now, i played with you,i watched you play and i say you the best around now.we will ask God to keep you fit lead the attack and Brazil 2014 is the limit…

Kofi and Kotoko will make us walk with an open chest. My darling club(Asante Kotoko) will conquer Africa and use the Ghanaian league as surplus. Boys fight the good fight !
