Asante Kotoko have outlined a series of events to raise the required $800,000 to aid their campaign in next season's CAF Champions League.

The Ghana Premier League champions are looking to make a huge impact in the competition following the relative success of Berekum Chelsea in this year's edition.

The whooping amount will take care of all team expenses which includes transport, accommodation, player bonuses and other logistics from the preliminary stages all the way to the final.

Kotoko's sub-committee on their African Champions League campaign have outlined a series of events including a fund-raising ball and supporters contribution initiatives to raise the money which will drive this ambition.

"We need this money for our African campaign," chairman of the committee Jerry Asare told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"This money takes care of all the expenses from the preliminary stage to the finals.

"We have to raise this money and one thing we are seriously pursuing is corporate sponsorship and fund raising events.

"We will be calling upon our fans to contribute towards our team's success in Africa.

"We don't want to be caught pants down in terms of finances when the competition starts hence our decision to move in now before the competition begins."

Kotoko were less impressive in their last African campaign and are more poised this term to succeed following Chelsea's exploits in the competition despite their inability to get past the group stage.
