Kotoko preserve unbeaten run with Dwarfs draw

Posted On Sunday, 2nd December 2012

Kotoko drew 0-0 at Ebusua Dwarfs

Asante Kotoko ground out a 0-0 draw at Ebusua Dwarfs in the Ghana Premier League game on Sunday.

The champions have now drawn a staggering seven games despite maintaining their unbeaten run in the Ghanaian top flight.

Kotoko who have thoroughly bossed games this season struggled to retain possession against a talented Dwarfs team who themselves are unbeaten in six games.

Prof. J.K Mintah’s side however failed to make good use of the some of the glaring chances that came their way especially in the first half.

Buoyed by a packed crowd at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Dwarfs shockingly fell short of fire power which handed them an impressive 4-1 win in last weekend’s game against Berekum Chelsea.

They will however take solace in the fact that they remain in the top four while Kotoko wallow in mid table as the league heads into a two-week break.

After watching todays game between Kotoko vrs Dwarfs,I now understand why Fabu struggles to win their matches. The players upfront are feeble as compared to the defenders of Dwarfs.Ransford Osei and Mpong were not strong to win challenges and was surprise the coach did not substitute them when they were tired.Kudos to Dwarfs, they were the better side for most part of the game.

  2. wagistoni says:

Kokoko were lucky to escape with a draw, thanks to former Dwarfs defender Rashid Sumaila. But Dwarfs are a team to watch this season. IDE PANDEY IDEKAY.

  3. quophai says:

The last time i checked, Kotoko were 5th on the league log. Do you refer to this as wallowing in mid table? Please i will advice our journalist to be mindful of their choice of words. Lets not abuse words just to make our stories look juicy… There are others who take critical notices of such things… Can a 5th placed team be wallowing in mid table?

  4. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

DWARFS SHOULD HAVE WON THE GAME BY AT LEAST 1 GOAL TO NIL. THE DWRAFS STRIKERS NEED TO HAVE THE LEAST TOUCHES IN THE 18 AND MUST SHOOT MORE.

AS FOR KOTOKO, THEY WILL BE FINE
SOMEONE TELL KK SARPONG TO STOP GROOMING PLAYERS FOR CLUBS LIKE SUNDERLAND AND TB MAZEMBE…LOL
GO AND TELL SUNDERLAND TO HELP YOU BUILD A STADIUM LIKE THEY HAVE OVER THERE IN THE UK, CALLED STADIUM OF LIGHT. STOP THE FOOLISHNESS WITH OUR MONEY USING THEM FOR USELESS PROJECTS LIKE ACCOMMODATION FOR PLAYERS ETC…DUMB NIGGA KK SARPONG
