Kotoko postpone pre-season plans

Posted On Tuesday, 31st July 2012

Kotoko will start their pre-season on August 12

By Patrick Akoto

Champions Asante Kotoko have been forced to cancel their pre-season plans due to the death of Ghana president Atta Mills.

The Porcupine Warriors were scheduled to begin their pre-season training on Tuesday ahead of the next soccer season at Adukrom in the Eastern Region.

However, it appears the untimely demise of the Ghanaian leader has altered their plans and officials have therefore decided to suspend all their activities until the burial of the former Hearts of Oak president.

Former president Mills died exactly a week ago at the 37 Military hospital after battling illness for months.

His funeral will take place between August 8-10.

The Kumasi-based club have now shifted the start of their pre-season exercise to August 12.

Kotoko team belong to the custodian of the Ashanti tradition, n kotoko is in the center of these traditions. It has nothing to do with 21 century. The league has’nt started n kotoko have de right to decide wat to do n how to handle their program ok. Some free education for u…
