Laryea Kingston claims Kotoko players insulted him

Hearts midfielder Laryea Kingston claims he was a subject of torrential verbal abuse from the Kotoko players during their Premier League stalemate on Sunday.

The 32-year-old was by far the best player for the Phobians after he put up an outstanding performance for the capital-based side.

Kingston created many splitting passes that created many problems for the Kotoko defenders.

He claims players of the Porcupine Warriors insulted him on many occasions on the pitch without provocation.

“They insulted me many times. They really insulted me. They were trying to provoke me,” Laryea told Kumasi-based Fox FM

“I like all of them and so I kept my cool.I think it was a strategy that they adopted but it never worked.

“Hearts and Kotoko are the two giants of Ghana football. I was happy with the way the supporters comported themselves.

“I was touched by what I saw. It gave me goose pimples. I was happy with our performance as well and I told my colleagues they did well.”

Kingston was shown the marching off orders when the two teams clashed at the same venue last season.

BIG LIAR YOU ARE…. CAN ONLY PLAY 45 MINUTES OF USELESS FOOTBALL.
PLEASE SHUT UP AS TODAYS WORLD OF FOOTBALL MEANS GOAL SCORING AND NOT DANCING.

    • Wasky says:

@Simon,pls is there any body in your family who can play even just five (5) minutes of soccer on such a big stage in international football?? You are just jealous of LK.These Kotoko boys has no respect that is the reason y no Kotoko player has ever excel in Black Stars. If they are humble and respectful, playing against a player of LK calibre should be an inspiration and a dream come true for them.Which of the Kotoko players has ever be on the stage that LK has been before???

A black old pot calling a shiny silver container black. Bra Laryea you did tremendously well and I admire you for your beautiful and artistic football, but I don’t like your manners both on and off the field of play. Everybody saw you dissenting against the match officials and your opponents as well. Change your habits and you will be loved by all.

    Laryea deserve CHAN call up!

  5. collinto papa says:

Laryea really deserve a call up into the senior national team. We are talking of maturity and experience here. If experience is not needed then Zambia should tell Katongo he is old, Ameobi will have never come to play for Nigeria now? And Didier Drogba, Zakora, Kolo Toure etc will not play for the elephants anymore.

  6. Phrank Kente @ Teshie says:

Bra Laryea may your co player was the people provoking you cos i saw going to midfield and urging your team mates to play the ball around but they were just playing the ball anyhow cos the presure was on your midfield or becos our (fabu )left back didnt allow you to do what you know to do best…….fabu the best…
