Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko will compete in the 76th edition of the Blue Stars/Fifa Youth Cup tournament in Zurich Switzerland.
Kotoko’s youth side could face sides from Bayern Munich, Benfica and Atletico Parannaense.
Other teams who will play in the tournament are Blue Stars (Switzerland), Villarreal (Spain) and Olympiacos (Greece).
Kotoko will be the third Ghanaian club to play in the prestigious youth team tournament after Ebusua Dwarfs and Nania FC.
The club’s participation was brokered by Talents Sports management.
"The CEO of FTSM, Mr. Kenneth Kwame Asante is currently in touch with Mr. Opoku-Nti the general manager of Asante Kotoko so as they prepare for this important tournament,†Overseas Manager Yao Kpodoh confirmed.
The 2014 Blue Stars/Fifa Youth Cup tournament will be played between 28-29 May.
