Stephen Oduro offered new Kotoko deal

Asante Kotoko have offered veteran midfielder Stephen Oduro a two-year deal according to reports in the local media.

The fans favourite has been offered the deal despite being left in the cold for well over 18 months.

Oduro was believed to be inching closer to permanent retirement but insists he is has got enough in the tank to be competitive in the Ghanaian top flight.

This coupled with the insatiable appetite of the supporters to have their idol back in the first team has forced Kotoko’s interim management team headed by Opoku Nti to offer him a two-year deal.

The player is however yet to accept the offer as he weights his options with regards to enough first team opportunities.

The Ghana international played virtually no part in Kotoko’s defence of the Premier League title last term and is said to be looking for assurances of regular first team action before putting pen to paper.
