Midfielder Michael Anaba has stressed that the Kotoko players are still confident of defending their Premier League crown despite their shaky start to the season.

The Porcupine warriors have flattened to deceive this term where four successive draws have left them 10th on the League table.

Kotoko were held at Aduana Stars on Wednesday and desperately need the three points when they entertain Berekum Arsenals at home this weekend.

Their fans are growing impatient with the level of performance of the team but Anaba is confident victory over the gunners will mark the turning point.

“We know the fans have been unhappy with the turn of event but I believe we will start getting positive result, starting with victory over Arsenals on Sunday,” Anaba told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We are still confident of retaining our Premier League title. I believe when we start winning, it will turn our season around.

“The players understand the need to keep on fighting and hopefully, things will start getting better.”
