Kotoko legend Sunday tells fans to be patient

Kotoko have not won a game so far this season

Ex Asante Kotoko great Ibrahim Sunday has urged calm following the side’s winless streak in the Premier League.

The champions are in search of their first win of the season haven drawn all four games so far in the Ghanaian top flight.

The situation has seen majority of its supporters livid with the team’s inability to churn out victories haven spent massively during the off-season.

But Sunday, who inspired the side to their solitary African title in 1970 has told the fans to remain patient as the team device ways to improve their disappointing form.

“They league has just started and we didn’t start well I believe because of the many recruitments made,” he told Melody FM.

“This is because they sold some players too so it is normal, there is nothing strange about that.

“So they have to sit down to see where they can improve in order to start winning which am sure will take them to the top or thereabout.”

Kotoko hosts Berekum Arsenals in their next league match at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
