Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko will leave Accra on Monday afternoon for Algiers to play JSM Bejaia in the CAF Champions League round 16 first leg tie.

Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani has named midfielder Issah Yakubu and striker Kofi Nti Boakye in his 18-man squad for the trip.

The duo have replaced Nafiu Iddrisu and Nurudeen Ali after recovering from injuries

Nti Boakye missed Kotoko’s preliminary round qualifier return leg to Equatorial Guinea to face Sony Nguema after suffering the setback in the first leg.

He gave his fitness a boost by scoring two goals in their outstanding MTN Ghana FA Cup 5-0 win over Japekrom Warriors last Thursday.

Kotoko squad:

Goalkeepers: Isaac Amoako, Soulama Abdoulaye

Defenders: Akwasi Bobie Ansah, Joseph Ochaya, Ohene Brenya, Kwabena Adusei, Rashid Sumaila, Ben Adama Banh, Amos Frimpong

Midfielders: Issah Yakubu, Michael Akuffu, Richard Mpong, Michael Helegbe, David Ofei, Godfred Asante

Attackers: Kofi Nti Boakye, Yusif Abdul Aziz, Seidu Bancey.
