Kotoko ladies want to protest against the Ghana FA

Female supporters of giants Asante Kotoko have threatened to strip naked and march and march through the principal streets of Accra to protest against their recent aborted match against Berekum Arsenal.

Fabu Ladies’ uncharacteristic scenario is likely to hit Ghana Football in the coming days, as the threat by a women supporting wing of Kotoko is aimed at shaking the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The women wing, made up of elegant female football fans, say they would march bare-chested from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra to the GFA office at Ridge, should their darling club lose the three points in a case involving Asante Kotoko and Berekum Arsenals.

From the GFA Secretariat, the ladies say they would proceed to the National office of the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG), where they would register their protest over what they describe as bias on the part of the officiating officials against their club.

The Disciplinary Committee of the FA is expected to within the week, decide on whether to sanction a rematch or award the three points to Berekum Arsenals, after the week six encounter of the Glo Premier League between the two clubs was called off, as a result of protest over jersey colours.

The officials handling the mid-week match at the Berekum Golden City Park were forced to call off the epic encounter after the two clubs failed to agree on the jersey colour. While Asante Kotoko Football Club is calling for a replay of the match, citing reasons that they did not err in any way, their opponent, Berekum Arsenals are seeking for the award of the three points at stake, claiming that Asante Kotoko, failed to observe the football regulations which require that away club should change into their second jersey, should there be a clash of colours.

As speculations are rife that the FA Disciplinary Committee could award the points to Berekum Arsenals and either fine or deduct additional points from Kotoko’s accumulated points, the fabulous ladies say they would take matters up with the football body should the rumours be confirmed.

The leader of the women’s supporting wing, Tina Fosuhemaa told The Chronicle in an interview that they would not sit down and allow the football body to cheat the club like it used to be in the past.

‘We will be marching straight to the GFA, in our shorts and our breasts on display, to demonstrate our disapproval. We will not allow them to cheat Kotoko this time around; we want justice to prevail and not someone’s selfish interest.’

The Fabulous Ladies have attracted the attention of football fans, particularly supporters of the Porcupine Warriors, ever since they began moves to revive the supporting spirit of the club, and have moved supporters to attend matches involving Kumasi Asante Kotoko by decorating the stadium with tight jeans and mini skirts, locally known as ‘Apuskeleke’.

well said mprego, they can go ahead and decorate the streets of accra cos nobody cares and they’re not bigger than the other 15 teams or the laws of the game.i wonder why some clubs and personalities in ghana think that without them, things cannot be done.i expect berekum arsenals ladies to also come out that if they twist the rule governing the game, they will also go naked on the streets of berekum.the rule is clear, asuch the pressure from setting quarters to force replay won’t bear any fruit.funny that whilst arsenals are asking for 3points,kotoko is asking for replay.
