Obed Owusu has joined Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko claim they have landed most of their transfer targets despite their lack of visibility in the market this off-season.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to bolster their squad in preparation for their Premier League and FA Cup title defence.

Kotoko will also need a big enough squad to help their campaign on their return to the CAF Champions League.

The champions have made one notable signing in the acquisition of Obed Owusu from Berekum Chelsea.

Fears are rife amongst the Kotoko supporters that their club is not doing enough to sign enough quality players for the upcoming season.

But the club’s spokesman Ali Maradona insists Kotoko have landed most of their targets and are making steady progress to secure the remaining ones.

“Four out of the six targets have been secured,” he told Asempa FM.

“We are still in talks to sign the remaining two so we are making progress on the transfer front.”
