Asante Kotoko have inserted a $200,000 buyout clause in the contract of newly acquired striker Abdul Aziz Yusif.

Aziz emerged the big signing for Kotoko in the secondary transfer window and joins on a three-year deal from relegation-threatened Real Tamale United.

Kotoko beat off competition from Medeama and Aduana Stars to land the talented striker.

The champions who paid a reported Ghc 35,000 ($18,408) fee for Aziz have now moved quickly to secure the future of their new player by inserting the $200,000 buyout clause.

The ex Royal Knights player comes in to boost the striking options of Kotoko who have just not scored enough this term.

He will be available to play for the champions when the second round of the Ghanaian top flight resumed next month.
