Kotoko legend Ibrahim Sunday is counting on the club’s new signings to catapult them to the group phase of the CAF Champions League.

The Porcupine Warriors have brought in Rahim Ayew, Isaac Boakye, Daniel Larbi Koomson and Bashiru Osman to help their campaign on the continent next year.

The ex-Ghana international is hoping the experience of the four new players would provide the needed impetus needed to excel on the continent.

“They (Kotoko) have reinforced their team with some new players. I hope those players can help them to at least move to the money zone and if possible even get to the final so it’s a matter of good preparations and I believe Didi Dramani can be able to do that,” the 1971 Africa Player of the Year told CampioneSports.net.

The Ghanaian champions have drawn Liberian side Barrack Young in the preliminary stage of the competition on February 9 with the first leg expected to take place in Kumasi.
