Asante Kotoko recieve cash boost from Noble Dream
Asante Kotoko have received a donation of Ghc 50,000 ($26, 177.57) from Noble Dream Financial Services to aid their African campaign.
The donation made by the Kumasi-based firm was in response to Kotoko’s call for financial assistance to power their 2013 CAF Champions League bid.
The Porcupine Warriors return to Africa’s flagship club competition following last season’s Premier League success in Ghana.
The champions are thus looking to prepare their team adequately to ensure their return to Africa this term becomes a success.
Kotoko’s Executive Chairman Dr. K.K Sarpong and Administrative Manager Ben Nti landed the donation after holding talks with top officials of Noble Dream on Friday.
The money will go straight into the fund set up by the club purposely for their African campaign.
It is expected to support the huge budget drawn by the club’s Champions League Committee ahead of the start of the competition next month.
Kotoko will open their campaign in the first round of the tournament at home to Equatorial Guinea side Sony Nguema.
