Kotoko firms up partnership deal with Sunderland

Posted On Thursday, 29th December 2011

All is now set for the implementation of a partnership agreement signed between Asante Kotoko and Sunderland.

This follows the official joint-signing of the implementation document on Wednesday.

Executive Chairman of Kotoko Dr. K.K Sarpong signed on behalf of the Ghanaian giants while Sunderland’s CEO Ms. Margaret Bryne did same for the English Premiership outfit.

The agreement will see both parties explore various opportunities of mutual interests; Kotoko will benefit from the coaching, medical and administrative exchange programs while Sunderland will benefit through the signing of players who excel during trials.

The possibility of a friendly match between the two sides is also reported to have been captured in the agreement but no official announcement has yet been made to that effect.
