Asante Kotoko failed to break a four-year jinx following their opening day draw against Amidaus Professionals in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors once again stuttered against the newly promoted side in front of their home fans at the Baba Yara stadium.
The Ghanaian champions have not won their opening four games in the top flight since 2008 and were hoping to break the duck.
But the Harbour-based side frustrated them at their own backyard and managed to pick only a point.
Kotoko failed to win against the likes of Great Olympics, King Faisal, Tema Youth defunct Kessben FC.
The Kumasi-based side are now 11th on the League table and travels to Obuasi to face Ashantigold on October 14.
Why should this be such a big deal? There is such a long way to go.
