Experienced Belgian coach Piet Demol has arrived in Ghana to work as technical director of a football academy in Kumasi and also as an advisor to two Ghana Premier League clubs, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 59-year-old has refused to disclose which clubs he will be working for in the Garden City but has been strongly linked with defending champions Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors are looking at strengthening their bench for Africa next year and also developing talents from their youth side.

However, current coach Mas-Ud Dramani has proven he's capable of leading the club and he is on the verge of guiding to a third successive league title.

The other Kumasi-based team in the Premier League King Faisal recently signed on Romanian trainer Dorian Marin and do not have the financial wherewithal to pay another expatriate coach.

Demol has coached clubs in Dubai, Qatar and China.

He was an assistant coach at AA Gent from 1997 to 2001 and was head coach at Racing Mechelen.

"I was sent by AA Gent to monitor players during the 1998 Africa Nations Cup in Burkina Faso. Even then, I dreamed of one day to "get to work in Africa,” Demol happily said about his trip to Ghana.
