Rashid Sumaila transfer fee has become a tussle between Kotoko and Ebusua Dwarfs

Kotoko are still demanding their share of the transfer fee of former stalwart defender Rashid Sumaila.

The Porcupine Warriors according to reports are entitled to 30% share of the total amount after he joined them on a one-year loan deal from the Cape Coast-based side.

Sumaila was sold to South African side Mamelodi Sundowns for an undisclosed fee but Kotoko are yet to get their share of the booty, barely a year since he joined the Brazilians.

“We are entitled to that money and we want that as soon as possible,” deputy PRO Ali Maradona said

“It’s because of Nana Aidoo that why we have kept quite but we believe it’s time for them to pay up.

“We don’t want to be involved in a tussle with them (Dwarfs) due to our fine relationship but the right thing must be done.”

Kotoko are in dire need of cash ahead of their participation in the CAF Champions League next month.

They are currently on a training tour of Akosombo where they have engaged in series of low-profile friendly matches.
