Asante Kotoko defender Kwabena Edusei is requesting for GH?120,000 (US$ 40,000) before signing a two-year contract extension.

According to a sportscrusader.com report the centre-back has rejected GH?80,000 (US$ 26,667) to sign a new deal.

"That is what he has demanded to be paid before he signs a new deal. He has requested for GH?120,000 whilst we as a club are ready to give him GH?80,000. So for now we are still engaged in negotiations with him because we need him for our Africa campaign next year” a Kotoko official said.

Edusei’s current contract with Kotoko runs out next month.

The 2014 CHAN star is being sought after by clubs in Africa and Europe with Portuguese side Rio Ave being the latest to inquire about his availability.
