Kotoko defender Amos Frimpong latest injury is not too serious as previously feared as he will sit out for a week.

There was concern after the player was forced off during the side’s 1-0 defeat at home to Heart of Lions.

But it is now know that the injury is not as seriously feared as he will remain on the sidelines for just seven days.

“We have given him (Frimpong) one week to relax his on his bone and we expect him to make a return afterwards", Kotoko’s medical boss Dr Kwaku Boateng said.

"There was no fracture in the bone so the fears have been allayed".

The Porcupine Warriors can breathe a sigh of relief as the side is already without Smallboy Korbah, Eric Donkor and Abeiku Ainooson.
