Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson will undergo further tests on Monday to ascertain the severity of a knee injury picked up in the win over Ebusua Dwarfs.

The 23-year-old was stretched off in the 2-1 win over Dwarfs on Sunday which saw Kotoko extend its lead at the top of the Ghanaian top flight to ten points.

The defender is however a major doubt for Kotokos next game due to the knee injury suffered.

Ainooson will undergo further tests on Monday with cub doctor Kweku Boateng to check on the severity of the injury.

The former New Edubiase defender has been an integral part of the Kotoko side since arriving at the beginning of the season.

He was also part of the Ghana squad that finished second at the just ended CHAN tournament in South Africa.
