Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have tabled DR Congolese giants TP Mazembe as likely opponents for an international friendly to mark the 15th anniversary of the club's life patron - Asantehene.

The Porcupine Warriors are also looking at Senegalese side AS Douanes if they fail to book an April 15 date  with the Ravens as the Lubumbashi-based club are engaged in continental assignment and might not be favoured by the date.

Ideally the Ghanaian champions want Mazembe to return to Ghana for a competitive just under a year after playing in the 2013 Ghana President Cup when they were kicked out at the semi-finals by Kotoko's bitter-rivals Hearts of Oak last June.

The Kumasi-based side want to honour their 63-year-old life patron who has ruled the Asante kingdom for 15 years, with a dignified victory over a stellar African opponent and have dotted the four-time CAF Champions League winners for a clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.

However, if talks with Mazembe fail to materialise, they will turn their attention on the Senegalese side who have also visited Ghana in the past to play against Hearts of Oak.
