Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko have confirmed Mas-ud Didi Dramani as their new coach.

The UEFA licence B and A holder will replace Maxwell Konadu who quits the club after being appointed Ghana national team assistant coach.

He met the whole compliment of the Kotoko technical team and Executive Chairman Dr KK Sarpong at a surprise dinner reception at the weekend.

Dramani will sign a contract with the Porcupine Warriors after leading the Black Maidens at the 2012 FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup finals in Japan which ends in October.

"My predecessor has taken the team to a certain level in terms of standard of play, player mentality and output on the field that made them league winners, so what I have to do is to maintain the level and use it as our minimum standard," Dramani told the Kotoko Express.

Dramani played for Real Tamale United and Ebusua Dwarfs before hanging up his boots in 2001.

He went to further his education at the University of Education, Winneba where he began picking his coaching certificates.

Dramani had a training attachment at English Premier League side Manchester City.
