Asante Kotoko have began their pre-season activities by taking all their players through a mandatory medical check up.

The medical staff of the Premier League champions want to ascertain the level of fitness of all first team players before they start active pre-season later this week.

Five players namely; Henry Ohene Brenya, Kwabena Adusei, Kofi Agyare, George Arthur and Micky Ofosu were the first to be medically assessed at the medical center of the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Their Blood and urine samples alongside minor physical exercises were conducted before receiving an initial all-clear.

These samples will be further examined in the laboratory for traces of any sort of illness if any.

This exercise is in fulfillment of a Ghana FA directive to have all players medically passed fit before the start of the Premier League campaign.

Kotoko look to get all their players fit to begin preparations towards a third successive title defence expected to begin on September 15.
