Kotoko coach takes subtle swipe at critical media

Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani

Coach Mas-Ud Dramani has hit back at his critics who believe he will fail at Asante Kotoko.

The ex Guan Stars coach took over from Maxwell Konadu who exited to take his place on the Black Stars bench as an assistant coach.

Dramani has since been in the shadows of Koandu who led Kotoko to Premier League glory last season.

Members of the critical media have analyzed and in some instances questioned the style and tactics of Dramani.

Indeed, he is being labeled in some quarters as the ‘Women’s Coach’ for his exploits with the Ghana U-17 Women’s team.

Dramani who has refused to speak to the media apart from his post match sessions surprisingly decided to respond to his critics after the draw with Hearts of Oak.

“Haven’t some of you said severally that I can’t coach Kotoko? Well, haven’t you?” he quizzed the gathered media at the post-match press conference.

The response is already being interpreted as Dramani cracking under mounting pressure at Kotoko especially after the disappointing draw with Hearts.

The Porcupine Warriors who are still unbeaten currently lie 7th in the top flight after seven rounds of matches.

They next travel to face Tema Youth on Sunday.

u c, that fact is clear, u r not performing, and if its your players who are not playing well then u need to start working hard on them, because its going to get worse and its going to hit u very hard, we will all 4get wat u did with the girls or always tag u as a women’s team coach, if u were part of a tv sport panel accessing blacks stars performance, where they are not playing well you will definately criticize the coach, wont u? yes its not easy to coach a big team…… Jux focus on your job and work on ur players a lot of them dnt fit…. if i were Dr KK sarpong, i will really give it to you and your players they disgraced the club on sunday….Hearts on a good day could have beaten kotoko 5-0 irrespective of the form guide…

hey mr reporter who told you that the game was a disappointing draw for our ( KOTOKO FC )coach…if you are playing football match and what your opponet ( hat of oak ) know how to do best to fall on the pitch untouch to delay game and to pass little time, when the game is still goalless….you ( reporters) can tag Our ( KOTOKO ) coach ( DIDI ) as a ladies coach but what we know is that He is leading Us to defend our League title …..FABU THE BEST

I find it quite absurd to read from supoosed Jounalists’ that Coach Didi is not performing. Please give him a break. He has not lost a single match since he joined Kotoko. He ended the unbeaten run of Medeama at their own backyard and drew with Aduana in Dormaa. Kotoko has never had it easy with Hearts in Kumasi. Please leave our coach to do his work. We will not allow journalists to destroy him like they did to Akunnor and are currently doing to coach Bash. If he has any problems it behooves on our management to bring it out. Its not the duty of some stomach journalists to sow seeds of discord in our team. Its purely mischievous to assume that a coach is not performing because he drew a game with his arch rivals…
