Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani concedes his side had no choice but to win their game against Berekum Chelsea to atone for their weekend’s defeat.
The champions suffered their first loss of the season to Bechem United last Sunday.
Kotoko however maintained their lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League table even though their lead has been reduced to just two points by rivals Hearts of Oak.
With brewing subtle pressure from all quarters coach Dramani admits winning was the least his team could offer following their temporal blip in Bechem.
“We were coming from a defeat and therefore at all cost we had to win this game,” he said after Wednesday’s win over Berekum Chelsea.
“Therefore we opened up and didn’t think about the opponent for the win.
“And we got that needed win so I congratulate my boys for it.”
