Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani defends rotation policy

Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani says it is necessary to tinker with his side due to changes in opposition.

The champions remain unbeaten this season and picked up a vital 2-1 win at Tema Youth on Sunday.

Kotoko have however not had a consistent team for the matches played so far this season in the Ghanaian top flight.

This has raised some concerns of the team’s inconsistencies this season.

But Dramani has defended his varied team selection saying it is based on the opposition.

"Every game comes with its own demands,"he said.

"And therefore you need to select players who will strengthen your team against the opposition.

"You could have a player play in one game but will not play in the next simply because you are not facing the same opposition.

"In this game for instance I had to take out a striker in order to protect my team and it worked."

Kotoko have now broken into the top four with 14 points – just one behind leaders Aduana Stars after eight rounds of games.
