Maxwell Konadu says the team’s success is due to the collective support he has enjoyed from members of the Asante Kotoko fraternity.

The Kumasi-based club are one win away from sealing an unprecedented 22nd league title.

Many have attributed the team’s impressive run to superior tactical and management acumen of the ex Ghana striker who is in his first season.

But Konadu is quick to point out the contribution made by the other constituent bodies of the club.

“From what people are saying, we are doing very well but it is not because of only me,” Konadu said.

“From day one I have been given the support from the board, management, the technical team, the players and the supporters.

“Dr K.K Sarpong’s administration for me is the best. There has been no interference whatsoever.

“And anytime I needed something they never hesitated to give me so it is based on all these factors that the team is doing well.”

Kotoko have a 14-point lead and will be crowned champions if they beat Berekum Arsenal next Sunday with four matches to spare.
