Kotoko coach Mas-UD Dramani insists his side will clinch the Premier League title quicker-than-expected.

The Porcupine Warriors have a 9 points lead at the summit of the table with seven games to end the season.

They host Bechem United on Sunday, hoping to return to winning ways after dropping eight points in their last three games.

The two-time African champions left it late to clinch the title on the final day of the championship last season but coach Dramani is confident the title won’t go to the wire this time around.

“Remember last year we were drawing and still we won the league. A point is better than losing,” he said

“Everybody in Ghana will attest that Kotoko stands a better chance of winning this year’s league.

“We have known that we can win it since Match Day 2. Unfortunately the point buildup has reduced but that does not deter us”

“Out of the matches we have, we were contending for 24 points and out of that, the points we need to win the league technically is 17 points.

“We want to have the mentality that we can always win most of our matches but we can crumble, this is football.

The former Ghana Under-17 female team coach will make history if he win the title back-to-back.
