Asante Kotoko head coach Mas-Ud Dramani says Michael Helegbe's departure from the club will not have a bad impact on his side.

The 28-year-old experienced winger left the Ghana Premier League title-holders to sign for Medeama SC six months to the end of his contract.

Kotoko have been criticised on their decision to allow the the former Ghana U23 captain to leave the club.

But head coach Didi Dramani insists his absence will have no impact on his side.

"We have a lot of players to choose from and each of them is capable," he told Accra-based Asempa FM.

"We build the team around not one player but a lot of players so we won't be dependent on him."

Kotoko would have benefited from Helegbe's enormous experience and exposure from international football after playing abroad.
