Kotoko acting chief Samuel Opoku Nti is under intense pressure to quit the club following their embarrassing exit from the CAF Champions League.

The former Ghana international has been hugely criticized for failing to lead the team to the group phase of Africa’s inter-club competition.

Critics have accused the Uefa license B holder of doing little to enhance the image and prospect of the club since taken over from celebrated Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong.

Nti’s performance as the General Manager of arguably the biggest club in the country has come under line of fire with sharp criticism over his credibility to lead the Porcupine Warriors.

Kotoko boast of a number of multiple sponsorship deals but yet owe salaries and wages of players running into several months with critics labeling his administrative style as ‘school boy’.

Dr Sarpong helped to re-brand the two-time African champions by securing multiple sponsorship deals locally – a feat which has been unmatched by the current leadership.

He also won two Premier League titles, played in two FA Cup finals and secured the famous partnership deal with English side Sunderland.

The former Black Stars player, nicknamed ‘Zico’ has come under massive attack from many angry Kotoko supporters who have been left frustrated and crestfallen after seeing their side bundled out of the competition at the first hurdle.

However, it remains if he will bow down to pressure to call it quit.

Kotoko must now concentrate on their domestic title defense and their FA Cup involvement this term .
