Kotoko capture eight players

Kwabena Edusei has joined Kotoko from Medeama

Asante Kotoko have bolstered their ranks with the acquisition of eight players for next season.

Medeama SC’s central defender Kwabena Edusei and striker Seidu Bancey of Ebusua Dwarfs are among the key players that have joined the Premier League Champions.

The club has also confirmed the capture of Heart of Lions duo Godfred Asante and Small Boy Coba with Berekum Chelsea striker Ali Nurudeen also joining the fray.

The Porcupine Warriors have also signed three players from the lower divisions with Musah Issah of Guan United, Bazooka FC’s Mohammed Toure and Nafiu Dramani of Cheetah FC all expected to try their luck.

“Our plan is to strengthen the team for next season. These signings and a few more will help is in that direction, Executive Chairman Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong is quoted by the Kotoko Express

“We are carefully looking at a number of youngsters from these clubs. We intend to revamp the reserve to develop the skill and stature of these youngster tso graduate to the senior team.”

    Good one there. They are welcome to the only soccer University in Ghana. These players should be encouraged and motivated to work extra hard and be diligent and to be professional for their own benefit as well as Kotoko’s progress. When they give their best to Kotoko, Kotoko thrives well, and their marketable values and social statures as professional players also surges up. Kotoko is an institution where the lazy rarely survive. Good work by management.

  5. all those wingers are good but mpong is the onli available player safo has left the country and eli will follow soon but mpong fees are too exhorbitant.. I wud like for rashid sumaila and uriah to be a must for kotoko to purchase cos for uriah i alreadi have a custom made jersey for him

    yeah@Addo UDS Sarfo Gyamfi was on our radar until he signed for Maritzburg Utd in SA.Mpong will however eventually join.The problem ryt now is da amount being quoted by Medeama but i trust he’ll come through.2 or 3 more additions wont be dad at all.fabu!
