Asante Kotoko remain on course to sending their youth side to England for a training tour on the invitation of Sunderland despite the recent disquiet at the club.

The academy side of the Ghana Premier League champions are expected to take part in a youth tournament early next month in the UK.

The invitation forms part of Kotoko's ongoing partnership relationship with the English Premier League side.

Recent unrests in the club's administration following the shock resignation of Dr. KK  Sarpong as Executive Chairman has cast doubt over the academy's intended UK trip.

But Kotoko spokesman Dr. Ernest Opoku insists plans remain on course to have the youth side honour this invitation.

"We are on course. We have applied for visas for the team to travel to the UK," told MTNFootball.com.

"Once these visas are secured we will acquire their tickets for them to travel."
