Midfielder Kofi Abanga has signed a new two-year-contract for Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 25-year-old had a season left on his deal at Hearts and was being courted by AshGold but he has finally signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2016.
Abanga’s stay at the club was purely engineered by head coach David Duncan who told the former Ghana U17 midfielder he has him in his plans at the club.
The controversial midfielder’s career saw major revival under David Duncan when he arrived at Hearts during the second half of last season.
He joined Hearts in a protracted transfer saga in 2008.
