CK Akunnor still has plans for Laryea Kingston
Hearts coach CK Akunnor insists Laryea Kingston has a future at the club despite sacking the experienced midfielder from camp.
Akunnor drove the former Heart of Midlothian player away from their pre-season camping base in Sekondi for breaking camp rules.
Kingston-who joined the former African champions in January-could be on way out of the club.
But Akunnor says he has not shut the door completely on the former Ghana international.
“We should not make this a big issue. It is a player-coach issue. Laryea (Kingston) is and will always be part of the team,” Akunnor said.
Akunnor expects Kingston to put up the suitable decorum and become a role model for his teammates.
“He must know his position because a player will always be a player and a coach will always be a coach,” he added.
“He is a big player and so others will look up to him. So he has to set good examples for the young ones to follow.”
