King Faisal could use the Bechem Park as their new home turf

By Patrick Akoto

King Faisal are planning to adopt the Bechem Park as their new home venue for the upcoming season.

Tano South District Chief Executive Saeed Waziiri claims he has received a proposal from the Kumasi-based side, seeking for an approval for the use of the Bechem Park as their new home grounds.

” I can confirm to you that King Faisal FC have told us they want to come and use our stadium for their home matches so we have to do our best to bring them around,” Waziiri tod Sunyani-based Storm FM

“We are still on renovation works to make our stadium one of the best because we understand how football can help promote the image of the district.

“We would warmly welcome them with open arms and we would also wish them a healthy stay if they are able to come.”

The Premier League returnees have sent a proposal to the District Chief Executive of Tano South in a move to seek.

The Premier League returnees spent a decade in the top-flight before they got relegated to the country’s seond-tier last year where they used the Abrankese Park as their home venue in the National Division One League.

If Faisal gets the approval from the Premier League Board, it will be a massive blow to followers of Kotoko who have been anxious of the return of the Kumasi derby in the upcoming season.

They will engage Kotoko in a pre-season friendly at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday.
