Ghana Premier League side King Faisal have rubbished circling media reports that the club is up for sale.

The Kumasi-based are in dire financial constraints with players and members of the technical team owed salaries and bonuses.

Media reports suggested club owner Alhaji Grusah was feeling the pinch and wanted to bow out.

A club statement read: "It has come to the notice of the board and management of King Faisal F/C that sections of the media are speculating on their airwaves that KING FAISAL FOOTBALL CLUB is being offered for sale.

"This reportage is highly fallacious, untrue, unsubstantiated and a propagated falsehood just to create confusion in the club

"Although King Faisal Football Club is open for collaborations and partnerships with corporate and business minded persons it is not for sale."

King Faisal made a return to the Ghana top-flight last season and finished a respectable 8th despite their challenges.
