King Faisal captain Kojo Boateng has admitted the resignation of Chief Executive Vincent Sowah Odotei could affect their ambitions this season.

The ambitious football administrator resigned from the club after guiding them back to the top-flight after just a season in the lower division.

Coach Stephen Abugri has insisted Odotei’s departure will have a negligible impact on the team but the club’s captain says it could prove disastrous.

“Odotei’s resignation is a big blow to us (players). We were like one family. We were together during difficult times in the National Division One League,” Boateng told Kumasi-based Fox FM

“They players are very disappointed with the turn of event. I am afraid but his absence could affect the team.

“We just have to forget about what has happened and move on. We wish him well and pray that whatever he does, it becomes successful.

“ In everything we must give thanks to God. May be God has chosen another great person to run the affairs of the club.”

Faisal travel to Accra to face Liberty Professionals in their opening Ghana Premier League campaign on October 7.
